Summer – the season of flower scent – brings joy, romantic senses and many pleasant emotions. Summer is also the time when Inese Galante, the bright and lyrical soprano, comes to Latvia. Although she lives outside of her homeland, the Latvian audience is always in her heart. That is why she always returns to her home country with great joy and pleasure. This is already the 10th time when from 11th to 17th August the festival “Summertime –Inessa Galante and Friends” invites people to the artist’s world of sounds in Dzintari concert hall.
In the festival “Summertime” friends of Inese – world famous stars and new musicians – will perform together. Using their talent, skills and their own cultural heritage, artists can be creative and surprise the audience. In “Summertime” we will hear performers from Germany, Sweden, Norway, Lithuania, USA, jazz stars from Russia and Latvian singers. This will be a journey from culture to culture, from earlier time to present day. German and Italian opera aria traditions, American gospel, jazz, Argentinean tango and ballet… Seven sharply different concerts will complement each other letting you feel different emotions. Inese Galante wants “Summertime” to be an adventure and a bright summer event for everyone.
